Inmates use feces and spit to attack officers
MUNCY – New charges have been filed against two inmates at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy who have a history of assaulting corrections officers, according to state police.
Brenda Denise Carroll, 37, allegedly threw feces at an officer on the afternoon of Jan. 6. Charged with aggravated assault and aggravated harassment by a prisoner, Carroll recently was arraigned before District Judge Jon E. Kemp and recommitted in lieu of $200,000 bail.
Kemp also arraigned inmate Dawn Marie Ball, 44, on charges of aggravated harassment by prisoner and disorderly conduct for allegedly spitting in an officer’s face on Dec. 16, police said. She was recommitted in lieu of $500,000 bail.
No sentencing information was available about the two inmates.
