Megan’s Law violator found
MUNCY – A 42-year-old man wanted for failing to maintain his sex offender registration requirements was arrested Thursday by U.S. Marshals with the assistance of borough police.
Roger Geiger was arrest by marshals and task force officers in the 500 block of Pepper Street after they found him hiding inside a residence.
Geiger was turned over to local authorities pending judicial proceedings in these cases.
On March 30, the Lycoming County Adult Probation Office obtained an arrest, charging Geiger with probation violation. On the same day, the state police charged Geiger with failure to register as a sex offender, as required based on a prior conviction for statutory rape of a minor.
These two agencies requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Geiger.
