Jewelry theft alleged
HUGHESVILLE – Levi Michael Shoemaker, 25, of 152 Boak Ave., faces charges for allegedly stealing $700 worth of jewelry from Mary Ann Collins, his aunt, with whom he lives, last Sept. 2, state police said.
After removing the items from the Wolf Township property, Shoemaker sold them to the same day to Cillo’s Antquies in Williamsport for $85, police alleged in court papers.
An admitted heroin addict, Shoemaker was arraigned before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on charges of theft, receiving stolen property and theft by deception, and remains in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
