4 charged with shoplifting from department store
PENNSDALE – Four people have been charged with allegedly stealing merchandise from Target at Lycoming Crossing, according to court records filed by Muncy Township police at the office of District Judge Jon E. Kemp. Those charged include:
Thomas Richard Stortenbecker Jr., 27, of 4997 Route 220, Hughesville; misdemeanor shoplifting and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing $334 of merchandise on April 21; also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Maggie June Etzler, 22, of Beavertown, and Garrett Davidson Krouse, 21, of Paxinos; conspiracy to commit theft by deception and receiving stolen property for allegedly returning stolen merchandise to obtain a $164 gift card on April 12; both released on $10,000 bail each.
Akim Yusuf Smart, 36, of 127 Harvest Moon Park, Linden; misdemeanor shoplifting and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing $166 worth of merchandise on five occasions between Feb. 28 and April 2; jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail.
