HUGHESVILLE – Additional charges have been filed against 24-year-old Cody Lee Steinbach, who fought with three state troopers, one of whom suffered a broken hand during the scuffle, according to court records.

Steinbach, formerly of 152 Boak Ave., but now listed as homeless, allegedly became unruly as troopers were trying to take him into custody after he allegedly assaulted a female acquaintance, Brooke Lee Rose, inside her home on Boak Avenue in Wolf Township about 4:30 a.m. on July 7.

Already jailed on an escape charge and a parole violation, Steinbach has been arraigned on aggravated assault, resisting arrest and related offenses.

He was recommitted to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Trooper James Wool, who underwent surgery for his broken hand, is recovering.
