By Staff | Aug 26, 2015

State police are asking the public’s help locating fugitive Cody Dyer, 32, of Allenwood, who is wanted on numerous offenses that occurred early Monday morning in the Montgomery and Hughesville areas.

Described as white, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, Dyer allegedly stole a vehicle owned by Shelly Stackhouse, of Montgomery, and then drove it to Timothy Whitmoyer’s Hughesville area property, where he smashed out several windows, police said.

Dyer then drove to another home, forcibly entered the house and attacked a woman, police said.

Dyer, who has short brown hair and scruffy facial hair, returned to Stackhouse’s home, fled on foot only to return later to steal the same vehicle a second time, police said.

A high-speed pursuit involving several state troopers followed and extended into Union County, where Dyer managed to elude capture. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Montoursville barracks at 570-368-5700.
