Stephen M. Lyons, 49, of 1170 Village Road, Pennsdale, faces charges from the Muncy Township Police Department of harassment and driving under the influence.

Police said in an affidavit of probable cause that Lyons drove home while under the influence of alcohol and then got into an physical altercation with a woman on May 15.

The woman told police that Lyons “knocked her glasses off her face, grabbed her neck and had caused a cut to the left side of her head,” the affidavit said.

Lyons also was charged with driving with a suspended license.

He was arraigned recently before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.

He was scheduled to appear before District Judge Jon Kemp for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 28.
