Woman accused of stealing personnel file
MUNCY – On the day she was being terminated from Valley Truck and Trailer Repair Service on John Brady Drive in August, 22-year-old Johanna Lee Gordner slipped into the human resource manager’s office and stole her personnel file, state Trooper Daniel Switzer alleged in an affidavit.
Gordner, of 2202 Central Ave., now faces a misdemeanor charge of theft for allegedly taking the file on Aug. 9, Switzer said.
Michael Freezer, human resource manager, reported that he had left his office before the theft, but that another employee saw Gordner “leaving Freezer’s office with paperwork,” Switzer said.
The only thing taken was Gordner’s personnel file, which Freezer had “on his desk because she was being terminated,” Switzer said. Gordner had been employed as “a flagger and scout driver,” and had no business being in the office when Freezer was not there, the trooper added.
Freezer told police he contacted the owner of the business, who “wanted to press charges against Gordner for (allegedly) stealing the paper work,” the affidavit stated.
Gordner has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
