Police charged a woman who allegedly attempted to steal items from the Dollar General store in Clinton Township on Thursday.

Nicole Marie Reynolds, 31, no address provided, allegedly was observed placing gift tags in her handbag at the store located at 2006 Route 54 shortly before 4 p.m., according to police.

When police arrived at the store, she became unruly, yelling repeatedly, despite being ordered to stop, police said.

She later allegedly was discovered with various merchandise in her handbag amounting to $12.25.

Following her arraignment, she was placed in Lycoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Jan. 8.
