Search finds nothing after school bomb threat

MONTGOMERY – All students and staff at the Montgomery Area High School were evacuates shortly last Wednesday, February 24 after 9 a.m. when a written bomb threat was found inside the building, Montgomery Area School District Superintendent Daphne Bowers said.

Two state police canines, trained to detect explosives, were brought in to search the school but found nothing, according to state police.

The school has 900 students and about 125 staff. State police continue to investigate the threat and ask that anyone with information to call the Montoursville barracks at 570-368-5700.
