Identity of motorist in crash released

HOLMES, Sun-Gazette The man driving this Chevrolet Suburban was taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with serious injuries he suffered when the vehicle and a tractor-trailer truck collided on Rt. 15 and Pinchtown Road in Clinton Township about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, state police said.

State police have identified the driver who was injured in last Tuesday night’s crash at Route 15 and Pinchtown Road in Clinton Township as Brett Yarger, 51, of White Deer.

Yarger was reported in critical condition at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, a nursing supervisor said Thursday night.

Driving a Chevrolet Suburban, Yarger was traveling west on Pinchtown Road when his vehicle and a southbound tractor-trailer truck on Route 15 collided at the intersection, police said. The truck driver, of Ontario, Canada, was not injured, police said.

Concerning another crash victim, the Geisinger nursing supervisor said the condition of Robert G. Killian, 55, of Berwick, has been upgraded from serious to fair.

He was injured when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Route 118 in Jordan Township last Saturday night. His wife, Rhonda, 56, a passenger, was killed in the crash.
