A Watsontown man was charged in connection with allegedly having sexual relations with a minor.

State police reported Robert Lee Merrill, 30, was arrested for allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl on two occasions Nov. 6 in Anthony Township, Montour County.

Following his arrest, he was arraigned before District Judge Marvin Shrawder and charged with statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors, and indecent assault.

He was placed in the Montour County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
