Man found guilty on 98 counts of child pornography

HUGHESVILLE – A Hughesville man was found guilty on 98 separate counts of possessing child pornography after a one-day trial in Lycoming County Court Monday, District Attorney Eric R. Linhardt announced.

Eric L. Green, 39, was found guilty by judge Richard A. Gray.

State police were conducting undercover investigations in December of 2014 when Green was found to be sharing child pornography via BitTorrent software.

Police then executed a search warrant at Green’s North Fifth Street apartment.

They found various images of partially nude pre-pubescent girls on Green’s cellphone.

Later, nearly 100 other pornographic images were found as police completed the search warrant.

Green was found guilty on numerous felony counts of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communications facility.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Nicole lppolito.

Gray scheduled sentencing for June 15.
