Hughesville man sentenced to prison for child pornography

By Staff | Jul 26, 2017

After being found guilty by a judge in Lycoming County Court on 98 separate counts of possessing child pornography in March, Eric L. Green is headed to state prison.

Green, 39, of Hughesville, was sentenced last Thursday by Judge Richard A. Gray to serve two to four years in a state prison.

Gray found him guilty after a one-day trial in March.

State police were involved with ongoing undercover investigations in December 2014 when they found that Green was sharing child pornography via BitTorrent software.

After conducting a search warrant at Green’s North Fifth Street apartment in Hughesville, they found image after image of partially nude pre-pubescent girls on a cellphone.

Afterward, nearly 100 other pornographic images were found while police completed the search warrant.

Not only charged with the possession of child pornography, Green was charged with numerous felony counts of sexual abuse of children and criminal use of a communications facility.
