Man wanted after dodging police

By Staff | Oct 17, 2017

WATSONTOWN – A Muncy man evaded police last month, leading officers on a chase through the backyards of residences and businesses amidst crowds of pedestrians, and still is on the lam, police said.

Gregory Garverick, 30, is charged by Watsontown Borough Police with resisting arrest and flight to avoid apprehension, trial or punishment after running from officers after they attempted to contact him for two previous warrants on Sept. 30, according to an Oct. 12 news release.

Garverick dodged through backyards and into crowds who were in the borough for an annual yard sale event.

Garverick previously was wanted on two warrants for failure to appear in court and violation of a court order.

He is a 5-foot-11 white male and weighs between 150 and 170 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Garverick should call Watsontown Police at 570-538-2773 or 570-742-8771.
