HUGHESVILLE – Volunteer firefighters from four communities were called to extinguish a fire that engulfed the southern end of an open 20×50 foot storage building at the RT Machine Co. on Boak Avenue in Hughesville about 6:40 p.m. on Friday, October 20.

Hughesville fire chief Steve Stiger, who lives a block away, saw heavy smoke when he left his house. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes. A state police fire marshal was trying to determine the cause of the fire.
