Man sentenced for firearms theft
A man was sentenced to 5 1/2 years in federal prison for breaking into a firearms dealership near Muncy in February and taking 11 guns.
Samuel Bozochovic broke into R&J Welch at 1462 John Brady Drive Feb. 8 to feed a heroin habit.
Bozochovic, who was sentenced by U.S. Middle District Court Judge Matthew W. Brann last Thursday, pleaded guilty to theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensed inventory on July 10.
He must pay $8,947 restitution, Brann said.
The 66-month sentence was better than he could have received. The maximum penalty was 10 years and a $250,000 fine.
After serving his sentence, Bozochovic will remain on three years of supervised release.
