Drivers in critical condition from tractor trailer crash

By Staff | Feb 28, 2018

MONTGOMERY Police have released the names of two drivers injured in a collision between a car and a tractor trailer on Saturday, February 17.

Kimberly Morrison, 57, is in critical condition at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville after her car and a tractor trailer driven by Lacy Gagne, 31, of Belleville, collided at the intersection of routes 15 and 54 in Clinton Township.

The brakes on Gagne’s vehicle are suspected to have given out as she descended a hill going southbound on Route 15, said state police in a news release.

The tractor trailer, hauling concrete walls, passed through a red light and attempted to swerve away from incoming traffic, according to police.

Morrison, driving a Mazda, was struck by Gagne’s vehicle on the passenger side of her car, according to police. Morrison spun counterclockwise and came to rest in the left turn lane of Route 15. Gagne’s vehicle continued over a culvert and struck two vehicles parked in the A-1 Wheels & Deals auto sales lot.

First responders performed CPR on Morrison when they arrived and she was loaded into an ambulance.

Gagne was transported to UPMC Susquehanna Regional Medical Center. The hospital declined to comment on the severity of Gagne’s injuries.
