Woman steals pickup truck from parking lot
MUNCY After allegedly stealing a pickup truck from the lot of Muncy Homes Inc. on Route 442 late last Monday night, Tiffany Fox, 29, was taken in custody the following morning, April 9, when she was found sitting in the vehicle not far from the business, according to state police.
While under the influence of a controlled substance, Fox, who also goes by “Tiffany Holencik,” was found about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday sitting in the stolen truck in the 200 block of Confer Lane, police said.
Fox, who lives at 1635 Route 442, next to Muncy Homes, admitted she took the vehicle after discovering the truck unlocked with the key in the ignition, police said.
Fox, who has battled with heroin and methamphetamine addiction for three years, told police she used methamphetamines overnight that Monday.
Police had been called to Confer Lane in Muncy Creek Township to investigate a report of an unresponsive female.
Fox was sitting in the driver’s seat, police said, adding that although she was awake and alert, “she showed signs of impairment.”
Following her arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman on felony charges of theft and receiving stolen property as well misdemeanor charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driving under the influence of a controlled substance, Fox was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
