The following people were charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records:

Louis Mercantino, III, 34, of 1585 Route 405, Hughesville; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI of numerous controlled substances, possession of 22 bags of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1900 block of Lycoming Creek Road on May 10; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

Jack Linn Reed Jr., 25, of 68 Broad St., Montgomery; City police; possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after he allegedly threw items at people at 535 Arch St. on May 10. He was released on $2,500.

Louis Mercantino III, 34, of 1585 Route 405, Hughesville; Old Lycoming Township police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing multiple buckets of scrap metal from ARC Heating and Cooling Service, 4468 Lycoming Creek Road, on June 22; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

Ben Walk, 43, of 156 Montgomery St., Montgomery; state police; criminal mischief and harassment after he allegedly damaged Shanonlee Donley’s vehicle outside of his residence on July 7. He was released on $10,000.

Bret Alexander Liddic, 35, of 91 Odell Road, Fairfield Township; state police; strangulation, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted Nichole Lee Bottart at his residence on July 27. He was jailed in lieu $10,000.

Chad Southern Brown, 46, of 23 S. Main St., Muncy; state police; terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangerment and harassment after allegedly assaulting Sharon Louise Sayre at his residence on July 28. He was held in lieu of $10,000.

Eddie Johnson Jr., 33, of 1955 Lycoming Creek Road; state police; aggravated assault, simple assault and related offenses for allegedly assaulting both his mother and his sister during a disturbance at the family’s home 528 Ruben Kehrer Road in Fairfield Township on Wednesday morning, July 31; he also allegedly threatened to slice their throats and prevented his mother from leaving her home to get help; he also destroyed two of his mother’s cellphones; jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.

July 24 Noise complaint, N. Washington St.; assist the public, N. Washington St.
