Dear Luminary,

On behalf of the Grandchildren of W. E. Turner, M.D., we would all like to express our gratitude to Matthew McLaughlin, Vice President of Operations and Chief Administrative Officer for UPMC Susquehanna Muncy, Myra Hartman and the staff from UPMC Susquehanna Muncy who collaborated with the Muncy Historical Society and volunteers to turn the hospital’s multi-purpose conference room into a new meeting space called The Heritage Room.

The open house for the new Heritage Room, which was held on Sunday, June 9, 2019, was the perfect showcase for the many pictures and historical items that told the story of Muncy Valley Hospital, dating back to 1922. We enjoyed meeting the visitors and staff members who made this possible and loved hearing the stories from others whose relatives were associated with the hospital.
