America’s Neighborhood Bank” is making an impact on the health and well-being of communities throughout North Central Pennsylvania. Sovereign Bank Regional President of Commercial Banking in Williamsport, Paul H. Rooney, Jr., recently presented a check in the amount of $25,000 to Susquehanna Health President and CEO Steven P. Johnson. This generous donation was issued in support of the Susquehanna Health Foundation’s Count On Us For Life Capital Campaign to fund Project 2012’s facility upgrades and enhancements.

We are thankful to Paul Rooney and Sovereign Bank for their financial support and are pleased to be partnering with them as we strive to develop a state-of-the-art regional health system to serve our patients and their families throughout North Central Pennsylvania,” says Johnson. Support from Sovereign Bank, according to Rooney, is a means for investing in the future health of our region. “We consider our contribution to the capital campaign as an investment in the well-being of our community,” says Rooney. “And we will continue to support the Foundation and its initiatives in years to come.”

Serving patients from an 11-county region, Susquehanna Health is considered a healthcare leader and offers a broad array of services that include major centers for heart and vascular, neuroscience, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, minimally invasive surgery and orthopedics and joint care.
