By Staff | Mar 3, 2009

Traffic Impact Anticipated in South Williamsport

PennDOT is advising motorists in central Pennsylvania of a planned superload move between Selinsgrove in Snyder County and South Williamsport in Lycoming County tomorrow, March 4.

A truck carrying a large transformer is expected to leave Selinsgrove sometime after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The planned northward move will be along State Routes 1023 and 11, Lori Lane, State Routes 1014, 204, 304, 15, 1011, and 15 into South Williamsport. When the superload reaches South Williamsport, Route 15 southbound (Market Street) will be temporarily closed to southbound traffic between Mountain Avenue and the north-south split near the McDonald’s Restaurant. Once that section of highway is cleared, the superload will travel northbound in the southbound lanes and turn left onto Mountain Avenue. It will then proceed to Maynard Street and its final destination of the PPL substation at the top of Maynard Street.
