Muncy Valley Hospital expansion project well underway
MUNCY – Visible progress can now be seen on the new renovations for the Muncy Valley Hospital and the Skilled Nursing Unit. Residents and patients have continued to watch the ongoing construction that will be part of a new addition for a larger physical therapy gym and a kitchenette.
“This will provide an updated and comfortable environment for residents requiring therapy services,” according to the residents’ newsletter.
On the first floor the dining room will be relocated to the area where the new addition is being built. This will be a larger dining area providing views overlooking the park.
Construction for the first floor dining area has been well underway. It will have a new resident/ family visiting and activity room with a private room for family celebrations.
Residents and TLC (Tree of Life Club) members are welcome to sign a steel plate which was welded onto a beam and placed into the addition that will memorialize those who sign it in the building forever.
Employees and TLC members have contributed funds to the renovation projects through this fund. Contributions can be made by contacting Anne Holladay, Hospital Administrator at 546-4040.
