A new gazebo coming to Hughesville

By Staff | Nov 22, 2011

This week students from the Lycoming Career and Technology Center are constructing a new gazebo on the corner of Water and Main Streets, downtown Hughesville.

HUGHESVILLE – Under the direction of instructor, Shawn Smith, students from the Lycoming Career and Technology Center have been busy erecting a new gazebo for the Hughesville community. The project was able to come to fruition due to a grant of $10,000 from Lowe’s and Skills USA. The LCTC was the only school in Pennsylvania to receive this grant according to Peggy Wood who is organizing a dedication that is scheduled for Tuesday, November 29 at 1:30 p.m.

The grant was submitted last December and the students were notified this past April that they received the grant.

The public is encouraged to attend the dedication ceremony and to help recognize the hard work that the students have put into this project.
