Uniforms worn by local teams can be seen in the museum windows at the East Lycoming Historical Society museum located at 66 S. Main Street, Hughesville.

HUGHESVILLE – Baseball uniforms worn by the ‘Boys of Summer’ and “Girls of Summer” too, are on display in the museum windows of the East Lycoming Historical Society. These uniforms represent the carefree days of the late Paul Kepner, a member of the Sprout-Waldron team, and Pam Whipple’s uniform, one of the first girls to break the gender barrier and be included in Little League World Series.

The society solicits help in planning, designing, and creating the museum’s window displays. A public meeting will be held on Sunday, August 11, at 3:30 p.m. at the Museum at 66 South Main Street, Hughesville. A new display is to be completed by Labor Day.
