New members added to Muncy High School Athletic Hall-of-Fame
MUNCY – The Muncy High School Athletic Hall-of-Fame Committee is proud to announce
that Amy Kile-McPhail, Class of 2002, from Fredericksburg, VA, Nate Messner, Class of
2004, from Hughesville, PA, and Dr. Christina Steinbacher-Reed, Class of 1993, of Williamsport, PA, have been unanimously elected as its three newest members for 2014.
Kile, Messner and Steinbacher are slated for induction at halftime of the home football game featuring Cowanesque Valley and the Muncy Indians, on Friday, September 12. In addition, all past members have been invited back to be recognized for their past accomplishments in their respective sports fields. A reception is also planned the same evening at the VFW Post 3428, in Muncy.
They will be the 60th, 61st, and 62nd members, respectfully, to enter the Hall, since the late Stanley T. Schuyler established the Muncy Athletic Hall-of-Fame some 38 years ago. Kile, Messner and Steinbacher will have their picture plaques hung in the lobby of the Muncy High School gymnasium while also having their sports biography and picture permanently on display at the Muncy High Alumni Athletic Hall-of-Fame website “http://www.muncysd.org”>www.muncysd.org (click on member’s name for biography information).
