Postal employee retires from Muncy

MUNCY – William C. Bucher retired from the Muncy Post Office on Thursday, September 24. His post office family honored him with a party. According to post office personnel, Bucher began duties in 1982 as a substitute carrier on Muncy Route number 4, and eventually went full time to Muncy Rural Route number 1.
In the mid 1990’s, Bucher switched crafts becoming a part time flexible clerk at the lobby desk.
Employed for 33 years at Muncy, Bucher had previously served the post office at Unityville.
Retirement will allow the retiree to expand time with hobbies including golf, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and canning. He and his wife Sandy recently obtained a river lot.
