Local volunteer named PA 4-H volunteer of the year

Amanda Emig uses her positivity and creative ideas to encourage 4-H'ers.

Amanda Emig from Hughesville has been a 4-H volunteer for four years.

For the second year in a row, Lycoming County is home to the Pennsylvania 4-H Volunteer of the Year! At the annual banquet in November, Amanda Emig (4-H Artitude) was recognized for her upbeat, creative attitude, and the work she does within 4-H as well as countless other organizations, including Ashkar Elementary PTA, James V. Brown Library, and Williamsport Area Management Association. Amanda and 2014 Volunteer of the Year Tammy Koser will be recognized at the state level during the luncheon at State Leader’s Forum in January.
