School starts in Muncy

CAROL SHETLER/The Luminary The Muncy School District began classes on Wednesday, August 24 for the 2016 fall session. Greeting students as they exit buses is High School Principal, Mr. Tim Welliver.

MUNCY – Muncy High School principal Tim Welliver, greeted students early Wednesday morning August 24 on their first day of school. The principal announced changes in time for arrivals and departures. “Exterior doors will open at 7:15 a.m. and leave out at 3:15 p.m. Please take note if you’re being dropped off. This will be important during cold weather,” he said.

Enrollment is up this year with close to 500 students attending the high school this year according to Welliver.

The security officer will be on duty at the high school during arrival, and the grade school at dismissal.

Welliver said other notices were well publicized in previous media sources and also parents and guardians are alerted through email.
