Muncy Bank announces employee promotions

MUNCY – Rob Glunk, President & CEO of The Muncy Bank and Trust Company recently announced the promotions of three Muncy Bank employees. Stephanie Oakes has been named a Community Office Manager/Assistant Vice President; Kelli Smith was named Risk Operations Officer/Assistant Vice President and Kim Wetherhold is the bank’s Regional Branch Administrator/Vice President.

With over 12 years in community banking, Stephanie Oakes is responsible for the overall operation of the Avis Community Office, as well as consumer and small business lending and business development in the Avis, Clinton County, Jersey Shore and the Pine Creek market areas.

Oakes is a graduate of Jersey Shore Area High School and holds a Business Administration degree from Penn State University. She is also a graduate of the PBA School of Banking and Advanced School of Banking, the Association of Financial Professionals Cash Management Fundamentals School, and the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce Leadership Lycoming Program. She also holds certificates from Penn State University in Small Business Management, Business Management, Advanced Business Management, Supervisory Essentials I, II, and III. She is a National Client Advisor Board and Bank’s Round Table member for Elavon Financial Institution Solutions and a member of the Association for Financial Professionals.

Active in the community she acts as a Volunteer Leadership Council member and Relay for Life Volunteer for the Lycoming County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. She is also a supporter of the Lycoming County United Way.

With over 15 years of bank accounting and audit experience, Kelli Smith is responsible for The Muncy Bank and Trust Company’s Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Program, vendor management and the audit and examination functions. Prior to joining Muncy Bank she was an auditor for a local accounting firm, performing internal audits for local banks.

Stephanie Oakes

A graduate of Jersey Shore High School, Kelli graduated from Mansfield University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business with an emphasis in Branch Administration. She received an ABA Lending Compliance certificate and is a member of the Central and Northcentral PA Compliance Groups.

Kim Wetherhold is responsible for the operation of the Muncy Bank Community Office System. During her 11years at Muncy Bank she worked as a teller, Human Resource Specialist / Asst. Corporate Secretary, and Assistant Branch Administrator. Kim has facilitated corporate events, has led the bank’s community volunteer outreach participation, and was instrumental in building programs and activities that encourage employee leadership and development.

She is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Welfare and the PBA School of Banking with honors. She is a member of the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Leadership Lycoming Class of 2017. Active in the local community, Kim chaired the Muncy’s Fourth Friday events as a member of the Muncy Business & Professional Association. She previously served on the board of the Muncy Youth Football Association and the Muncy High School Parent Teacher Student Association. She was instrumental in building a bank wide program that provides financial educational programs to school districts within the bank’s market areas.
