A second look, however, revealed many customers leaving the store empty-handed as half-off sales continue until the business closes Monday, Dec. 30. The outside parcel property is one of several going out of business this year, joining A. C. Moore and Pier 1 Imports in closing.

Gander Outdoors, 66 Mall Parkway, Muncy Township, will shutter its doors by year’s end.

Formerly known as Gander Mountain, Gander Outdoors held a grand opening on Saturday, January 27, 2018. The 56,000 square-foot building operated with over 70 part-time employees and full-time staff, according to the company website.

Fifty percent sales are ongoing for all items exept firearms, ammunition, reloading supplies, and generators. Rumors that the business is closing due to a zoning issue are unconfirmed at this time, a store representative said.
