Muncy Provides Year-round Counseling
Last week, parents and guardians of students in the Muncy School District received information regarding mental health.
School Helpline, a counseling center available 24 hours a day, seven days of the week, provides a direct link to live, trained mental health counselors all year.
Trained counselors are available to talk with persons seeking assistance in coping with suicidal thoughts, depression, or feelings of loneliness and loss. To talk with a counselor, use the following phone number: 1-800-418-6423 ext. 359; choose option #3.
The Safe School Helpline counseling center is accredited by C.A.R.F. (Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities). School Helpline counselors undergo ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skill Training) and Q.P.R. (Question, Persuade and Refer) training.
