Socializing during a Pandemic

The majority of people who enjoy gathering to catch up with each other, often play board or video games while visiting. While the pandemic guidelines may prevent the traditional form of assembling in person, people have thought outside of the box in order to play games with friends and families while being quarantined. Social distancing efforts and statewide stay-at-home orders have inspired the rise of virtual hangouts on social platforms such as Facebook, Google, and Zoom. Above, area friends compete in a virtual trivia game. And last Saturday, Rob and Amy Wallis (top left corner) hosted a virtual Penn State tailgate party, even though the annual Blue-White football game was canceled. The Wallises were surprised beyond belief when former Pittsburgh Steeler Scott Paxson, video director Jevin Stone and head coach James Franklin popped by for a virtual visit.
