Mobile recycling at Mall

Recycling will be collecting at two specific locations this week, according to the Lycoming County Resource Management Services.

On Thursday, April 30 until Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the public may access locations at the Lycoming Mall, 300 Lycoming Mall Circle, and the parking lot at Jersey Shore Area High School, 701 Cemetery Street,

Please wear masks while accessing these sites. Staff will be present o direct traffic and help but will not handle any materials. There will be no collections at Kmart or Penn College parking lots during this time.

Containers will only be accessible during these times, any materials left at the site after hours is considered littering and illegal dumping.

Cardboard must be broken down and clear/brown/green glass bottles and jars will be collected in separate containers. Plastic bottles and jars, tin/steel cans, and aluminum cans will be accepted into one container; and newspaper, office paper, magazines, chipboard, and junk mail will be accepted into one container.

Plastic bags are not acceptable in the recycling containers. Any bagged material must be emptied and must return home with the resident. Shredded office paper must be bagged in a clear plastic bag.

Future collections will be posted at a later date.
