Township votes to delay real estate tax penalty fee
MUNCY – Muncy Township Supervisors unanimously approved a resolution last week, delaying the penalty fee coordinated with filing real estate taxes late, in accordance with a recommendation from Lycoming County.
This is for the 2020 calendar year through Dec. 31, 2020.
In other business, the supervisors approved the Leece Electric traffic signal maintenance plan for 2020, which includes cleaning signal lenses, checking for proper alignments, checking backup batteries, replacing headlamps and more. This plan, which covers nine traffic lights, will cost $6,605, which is a $75 increase from last year’s plan.
The winning stone bids for 2020 were unanimously approved by the board. The bids came from Hanson Aggregates and New Enterprise Stone and Lime.
In another matter, the supervisors unanimously approved a single lot subdivision and sewage on Heidi Grey Road for the Cotner residence after positive recommendation from the planning commission.
