Gaydon promoted to Brigadier General

During a ceremony in Northern Virginia on July 3, the U.S. Army promoted Patrick Gaydon to Brigadier General.

Gaydon, a native of Muncy, graduated from Muncy High School in 1990 and the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1994. Lieutenant General James Pasquarette officiated the promotion ceremony which was attended by Gaydon’s mother, Marie, of Muncy, and his siblings. He is the son of the late Lewis Gaydon Jr.

Brigadier General Gaydon’s career spans over 26 years and includes combat tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. Following his return from Iraq in 2018, he most recently served as the U.S. Army’s Director of Materiel in the Pentagon.

Immediately following his promotion, the U.S. Army reassigned Brig. Gen. Gaydon to Hawaii where he will serve as the Deputy Commanding General for Support in the 25th Infantry Division.
