MUNCY – The Muncy Woman’s Club met October 27 at the Muncy United Methodist Church. Recently elected officers now leading the organization are (left-right): Robin Bardo, Williamsport; Carla Auten, Pennsdale; Sue Scott, and Patty Churprinski, both of Muncy.

The program by Carol Shetler, gave an overview of her 22 years as a writer with The Luminary, which focused on a bit of the early history of its 180 years, former editors under whom she worked, and the many humorous experiences in and out of the office.

As October was Domestic Abuse Awareness Month, the club donated paper products taken to the Lycoming County Women’s shelter in Williamsport. The donations went to the speaker’s specific charity aiding her in paying back for services used as a spousal abuse survivor.
