Muncy High School dedicates Earl Poust Wrestling Facility
Muncy Jr/Sr High School held a dedication on Thursday, Jan. 20, in the new wrestling room which will forever be called the Earl Poust Wrestling Facility. Poust, a 1954 graduate of Muncy, lettered all four years in wrestling. He continued to wrestle for Penn State which he lettered three years. Followoiong graduation Poust took a teaching job at Muncy and coached wrestling for 13 years compiling a record of 119-52-3.
At the dedication family members were were present to cut the ribbon. Above from left to right are Earl’s daughter, Amy Leddy; his wife, Yvonne; Earl’s sister, Helen Dgien; and his son, Danny Poust. Also, to honor Poust, the Class of 1967, which he was an advisor, made a donation towards the cost of a plaque that hangs at the entrance of the wrestling facility.
