HUGHESVILLE – Between the spring and summer seasons, activities are increasing at the Lime Bluff Recreation Area. Walkers take to the trails where they can view a variety of birds returning to the sanctuary of tall grasses and bird boxes. Off the trail and on the green, teams of disc golfers play, while children enjoy the playground equipment. The pavilions can be reserved by families and organizations, taking advantage of the shaded picnic areas.

Perennial gardens dot the landscape, weeded and cared for by local youth organizations. Located at 461 Elm Drive, the grounds were donated by Charlotte Weaver, and are owned and operated by the East Lycoming Recreation Authority.
