Muncy Library assistant honored
The Board of Trustees and Friends of the Muncy Library recently honored Library assistant Linda Strausser with the gift of a David Austin Lichfield Angel peach-tinted rosebush for her gardens at her home near Muncy.
Linda lived in Bloomsburg before her move to Muncy in 1984. She is an avid gardener and keeps busy tending to vegetables and flowers at her home and at the Library. She began working for the Muncy Library in June of 2002 and calls it “the experience of a lifetime.” Linda says that “People come to the library for many different purposes and from many different experiences in life. It’s been such a pleasure and honor serving the community and getting to know them throughout the years. I now know the children of some patrons, so I have the pleasure of moving through the generations with them.”
Linda continues to enjoy her library work, and friends and patrons continue to appreciate her.
