Hughesville captured the program’s second District 4 championship since, and its first since 2013. The Spartans rallied from two down, defeating Central Columbia, 3-2, for the Class AAA title. The Spartans also won the HAC-III title earlier in the season. Hughesville opened the state tournament against District 2 champion, Riverside, this past Monday at Bowman Field. The results were not available at press time.
