Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived by fire truck at the Muncy Public Library on Saturday, Dec. 2 at noon to a crowd of eager children and the Muncy High School Choir singing Christmas tunes. After disembarking, Santa and Mrs. Claus met with the children inside the library, listened to their wish lists, and provided almost 90 children with packets of coloring books, crayons, reading books and snacks. Cookies, donut holes, hot chocolate and apple cider were served in the library community room. The event has been a project of the Kiwanis Club of Muncy Area for several years. The Kiwanis Club wishes to thank all those who made this possible through their donations and participation,  including the library, the high school chorus, the Muncy Area Volunteer Fire Company, Station House, Weis Markets, Woodlands Bank and those other Kiwanis members and individuals who contributed both time and supplies to make the event successful.
