Harold E. (Andy) Andrews

Harold E. (Andy) Andrews, 85, of Muncy, passed away on Nov. 19, 2008 in the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Born in Davidson Twp., Sullivan County, on Nov. 2, 1923, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Phillips) Andrews.

A 1942 graduate of Muncy High School, he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He faithfully served his country for 21 years during the Second World War, the Korean Conflict and the VietNam War. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he served an additional nine years with the National Guard.

Mr. Andrew enjoyed watching western shows and movies and was an avid John Wayne fan.

He is survived by one son, Charles Andrews; two nieces, Dorothy M. LeVan, Muncy; Janet L. Digan, Muncy, and one nephew, David W. Neufer, Muncy.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Gottschall and Mildred Neufer.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
