Norman L. “Baldy” Atkins

Norman L. “Baldy” Atkins, Forest Lake Estates, Zephyrhills, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008.

Born June 6, 1933 in Muncy, he was the son of Raymond and Ethel Atkins.

He was a Korean War Navy Veteran.

He retired to Zephyrhills in 1995. He worked for Sechler Construction for 25 years, partner in A&W Floor Crafters, manager for Winner Carpets, Halls Station and worked for Save-a-Lot for 11 years, retiring at the age of 75. He loved to fish and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Joan Atkins; sons, Michael L. (Chris), Williamsport, and Gregory A. (Susan) Atkins, Sheppton, PA; grandchildren, Jessie (Jeff) Schwalm, Kim Atkins and Evan Ostrosky; great grandchildren, Grace and Paxton Schwalm and Tristan Schwalm; sisters, Frances Ambrovich and Beverly Peterman and brother, Gerald Atkins.

Graveside inurement will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
