Bonnie Lee George
Bonnie Lee George, 74, of Elimsport, passed away Dec. 5, 2008 at the Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.
Born in Sabetha, Kansas, on Sept. 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Elwin A. and Thelma V. (Young) Clifton.
She was the class valedictorian upon graduation in 1952 from Genoa High School in Genoa, Colorado.
She was retired from the shipping department of Spring Window Fashions, Montgomery.
She enjoyed flower gardening.
She is survived by three sons, Chuck Strayer and his fiancée Amy Wood, Muncy; Clifton V. and his wife, Christina Strayer, Oval; Clark L. and his wife, Sherry Strayer, Muncy; one daughter, Debbie S. and her husband, Brad Woolever, S. Williamsport; one brother, Virgil Clifton, Kansas; four sisters, Twila Taylor, Kansas; Peggy Shrewsbury, Kansas; Susie Smith, Kansas; Shirley Butler, Seaford, DE; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Elwin Clifton, Jr. and Charles Clifton.
Funeral services were conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, Muncy, on Dec. 9, with the Rev. Robert A. Lauver, pastor of New Life Church, Pennsdale, and Pastor Dennis Moore of the Hope for Today United Pentecostal Church in Watsontown, officiating.
