Margaret M. Voneida
Margaret M. Voneida, 99, formerly of Route 405, Montgomery, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Kramm Nursing Home, Watsontown, where she was a resident for the past 8 years.
Born May 6, 1909, in Brady Twp., Lycoming County, she was the daughter of the late John and Susan (Lamont) Gruver.
She married Dale D. Voneida, who preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1984, after 46 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Eagle Grange No. 1, Montgomery, was involved in farming on the Clear Meadows Farm, Montgomery and enjoyed caring for her family, including her parents.
She was an active member of St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Jerry Bennett of Watsontown; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m., officiated by her minister, Pastor Zachary Labagh.
Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church Cemetery, Montgomery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 196 Brick Church Road, Montgomery, PA 17752.
