Betty (Corter) Huling
Betty (Corter) Huling, 85, of Montgomery, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2008 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 6, 1923 in Williamsport, the daughter of Clyde S. and Pauline M. Shaffer Fisher.
Betty was the wife of the late Maurice L. Huling who passed in 2001.
She graduated in 1941 from S. Williamsport High School and in 1945 from Williamsport School of Nursing.
Betty served in the Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II.
She retired in 1982 from GTE Sylvania. Betty had worked as a private and an industrial nurse.
Betty was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the focus of her life.
Music was also an important part. She and her brother sang for radio functions and church activities.
She was a member of the St. John United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda G. (Wayne) Luckenbill of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Brett (Jen) and Jaime and two great grandsons, Wyatt and Austin; a daughter-in-law, Connie Hagan of Sebring, FL; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two husbands, Ted Corter and Maurice Huling, a son Gary S. Hagan, three brothers, Carl Fisher, Clyde Fisher, Jr. and Robert Fisher.
Family suggests memorial contributions can be made the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Funeral services were held Dec. 26, 2008 at the Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., with Pastor Michael A. Hill officiating. Burial was in Wildwood Cemetery.
