Ann R. Durinzi

Mrs. Ann R. Durinzi, 77, of 1251 Rural Ave., Williamsport, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at Rose View Center, Williamsport.

Born Feb. 25, 1931, at Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late George B. (Pete) and Harriette L. Deibert Renninger.

Ann had been the Coordinator of Academic Affairs at Penn College, Williamsport. She had also taught at the college.

Mrs. Durinzi was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church at South Williamsport.

Ann had been a member and former president of the Tiadaghton Quilt Guild at Williamsport.

Surviving are her four daughters and sons-in-law, Candy (Scott) Golder of Hughesville, Debi Jean (Don) Wankel of Gastonia, NC, Elena E. (Frank) Blazina of State College, and Fran (Matt) Allen of Warren, her stepson and his wife, Domenick J. and Lisa Durinzi of Indianapolis, IN, her three grandsons, Peter Wandell, and Zachary and Nicholas Allen, and her three nieces.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 S. Howard St., South Williamsport. Her pastor, Rev. Maurice C. Frontz, III, will officiate.

Members of the family will receive condolence visits following the memorial service at Shaheen Hall of the church, with a time for refreshments and sharing in the further celebration of the life of Ann R. Durinzi.

The family will provide the flowers and respectfully declines to receive floral tributes.
