Rex L. Winder Sr.

Rex L. Winder, Sr., 61, of Hughesville, died on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at the Williamsport Hospital. He was born in Huntersville on March 10, 1947, a son of the late Dan and Edna Winder.

Rex was employed by Construction Specialties as an assembler and molder.

Rex is survived by his companion of nearly 24 years, Mary L. Hackenberg, one son, Rex L. Winder, Jr., of Nicholson, two daughters; Tracy Heaton of Tennessee, and Becky Jo Winder of Montgomery, and five grandchildren.

He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Max L. Walters, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 p.m.
